Office Hours, Tuesday

The problem with seguing into class after a mildly worldview-upsetting adventure back home was that after two weeks, Kerrigan still didn't actually have a decent syllabus set up.

So she was in her office, making ridiculous amounts of coffee as she tried to figure things out.

[ open hours! ]

"Yeah," Kerrigan said, smirking bigger, "I remember."

Because that had been hilarious.

"Hey, I didn't do that badly and I didn't have to take off my shirt," he said because that was an accomplishment in that class.

"Didn't you end up giving an inspiring lecture on underwear?"

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 03:24 pm (UTC)(link)
"You found it inspiring?" Hey, he knew sarcasm, he just couldn't help but tease. "If it inspired one person than my job is done."

Kerrigan rolled her eyes. Again. "You just wait until the next teacher with an unhealthy fascination with your arms comes around, Adama."

"You don't like my arms, Lieutenant?" Lee asked, crossing said arms in front of him.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 03:36 pm (UTC)(link)
They were nice arms.

"The only consideration I have towards your arms is that maybe one day they'll do something useful. Like not loiter in my office."

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 03:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's not loitering," he said with a frown. "Visiting, visiting. I'm visiting you."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
"You're standing in my office." Pause. "With your arms, and you're not contributing anything. That's loitering."

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 04:18 pm (UTC)(link)
"I am too," he argued. "I'm contributing stimulating conversation and amusement."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Kerrigan stared at him. "Stimulating conversation?"

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 04:26 pm (UTC)(link)
"Are you bored with me?" Lee asked.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm annoyed with you," Kerrigan noted. Happily.

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"But not bored," he said, sounding very much like he'd just won whatever battle they were having.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 04:34 pm (UTC)(link)
"Is there no end with you, Adama?"

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm just pointing out some very basic facts, Lieutenant," Lee said cheerfully. "You want me to leave, huh?"

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Kerrigan pressed two fingers to her forehead. "You're giving me a headache. Shoo."

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 04:39 pm (UTC)(link)
"Will you miss me?" Lee asked, backing up towards the door. "Will you just be awaiting my next visit?"

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
"If you keep this up, I'm going to ask the Dean permission to make you run laps in your underwear every morning for a week," she muttered.

Which, mind, might just make her week one day.

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-01-08 04:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm not doing anything," he chanted before giving her one last smile and slipping out of her office.

Kerrigan let her forehead thunk on the desk.

Yeah, she was back, all right. She mumbled some choice words about Adama's lineage (with respect to his father) into the wood before getting up for her next cup of coffee.
