"You must be Adama," Roy said as he joined them in the living room.

"Lee," he said, nodding. "Adama, yeah."

"Roy Mustang," he introduced himself, holding out a hand. "Good to put a face to the name."

"Good to meet you, sir," Lee said, shaking the offered hand. "You've heard of me?"

Deciding not getting killed by Kerrigan was a good idea, Roy grinned and sat down on the couch. "It's a small island. I believe everyone has heard of each other by now."

"Oh." Damn, Lee almost wanted to be famous. "You been here long?"

"Almost a year now," he replied, looking slightly surprised at that himself. "How long have you been in her class? You were the kid she tied up together with Edward, weren't you?"

"I was in last semester," Lee said and then blushed. "Um. Yeah. That was me."

Perhaps he should have felt apologetic, but Roy so rarely was. He let Lee off the hook, though, even if he looked slightly amused. "Did you enjoy the classes? I've never actually taken the opportunity to talk to one of Kerrigan's students before."

"I did," Lee said, looking around conspiratorially. "Just don't tell her that. I think she thinks I just was there to act up."

Roy wondered if Lee was aware that Kerrigan was a telepath. "You have an interest in strategy then?"

"Yeah, strategy, tactics, a different way of looking at things," he said. "That kind of thing."

"Are you hoping to do something with it later?" Roy asked curiously.

"Dunno," Lee said honestly. "Maybe. Maybe not. It's one of those things I'm still thinking about."

"I'd say that it's an interesting direction to take, but I'm probably prejudiced."

"I could see myself flying," Lee admitted. "Just not sure if I want to go into the military."

"You've got plenty of time," Roy said easily, leaning back against the couch. "You should enjoy taunting Kerrigan while you can."

"I'm so sad I missed her class this time around," Lee said, frowning. "I miss taunting her on a weekly basis."

"Don't teachers have weekly office hours?" Roy pondered.

"I make a point to visit," Lee said, grinning, "when I can."

"As you should," he smirked. "It would be a shame if she got too bored."

"So, does that mean I can blame you when she gets pissed off?" Lee asked.

Roy snorted and shook his head. "I'm a firm believer in taking responsibility. If you do something out of your own free will, you will just have to bear the consequences."

"What if I blame you for giving me the idea?" Lee asked.

Lee had him there, but Roy shrugged lightly. "It still was your choice to act on my jokes."
