"Roy Mustang here. I was just looking through the tactics book and apparently you shouldn't drink a good bottle of whiskey alone. Which is a shame because I happen to have a bottle I'm dying to open. Feel free to drop by tonight if you'd like to help."

While Karal was in his office which will be played out later, Fraser made a call to Lieutenant Kerrigan just to double check Karal's story.

Aly sounded slightly strained when she left the message on Kerrigan's phone. "Hey, it's Aly. I'm sorry to say it but I need to go home for a few days so will miss being able to dance with you. Raincheck for next week?"

"How could I forget about you?" Cindy asked, almost purring into the phone. "Though I'm pretty sure we have plans to 'catch up' for this weekend, don't we?"

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. WHY ARE THE SKYWALKERS ALL UP IN MY BUSINESS?! NOT INTO THE SPACE PIRACY.

When the Cylons had revealed themselves, they'd blood, destruction, death and despair in their wake. They left evidence behind. They left tangible proof that of their presence.

What Lee was seeing now, what he wasn't seeing, actually, wasn't anything like the Cylons. It was...worse. So much worse.

The Galactica was stopped in orbit around what had once been Gemenon. There was no planet left though. Through the Viper's view screen, there was only blackness. An all encompassing blackness that was pushing forward quickly.

The stars had been blotted out. No, that was the wrong word. They'd been smeared out. They'd been erased with one broad stroke.

Lee's comms were crackling but he was ignoring them. There was nothing that could be done, not when this utter...emptiness was closing in on them from all sides.

Lee swallowed and turned his comm off. He didn't want to hear the screams when whatever was going to happen happened. He wanted to float quietly in the blackness of space, waiting for his end to come.

On a whim, he pulled an old, worn phone out of a pocket in his flight suit. It hadn't been turned on in years and he didn't even know if it worked. But, if he was going, he wasn't going quietly.

The first familiar number that appeared was the one that he dialed. "Hey, uh, Lieutenant?"

That had been her name once. "Yeah, it's Lee Adama. You might remember me. You were kind of -- a mentor to me once."

The phone cut out but came quickly back in. "Just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten you. Never have, never will. You were kind of the dad I wished I had. There's something...bad happening here right now. But, I'm not gonna go down without a frakking fight."

Phone still to his ear, he thrust the Viper forward, racing towards the blackness. "Listen, if you ever talk to Adah again, tell her I miss her and I still love her."

He paused and the nose of his Viper touched the blackness. The void was before him, ready to swallow.

"And you too! I miss you and lo -- "

The phone died.
