For Fandom, it had been a week.

For Sarah Kerrigan, Queen of Blades, it had been but a few seconds. The Xel'Naga artifact had taken her and her charge by the metaphorical balls and flung them across time and space bare minutes before something had wiped it from the skein of the universe.

And now it was spitting them out in a flash of blue between the trees.

The loss of her Swarm hit Kerrigan at once, sending her staggering to her knees on her way out of the tear. Her hands flew to her head and she let out a high-pitched whine as her senses compensated for the fact that her massive army had suddenly been reduced to one.

She'd be grateful that she made it to Fandom later. Right now, she'd need a minute.

They were singing. Also, Kerrigan's unease was making River nervous, so she tried to distract her.

When Kerrigan righted herself, it was with difficulty. She latched onto River's presence as much as she could, reassuring herself that there was some part of her Swarm left.

It is as we left it.

And River clung to Kerrigan mentally, rolling on to her side and pushing herself on to her feet.

It might not have come here yet, or they've found a solution, Kerrigan said. She rose to her feet. Either way... I intend to find out...

She looked down at her hands, and watched as the green melted away to give the illusion of human flesh.

River walked up to Kerrigan, also shifting into human shape, and looked up at her.

This is always a centre of things.

And we'll need to exploit that, Kerrigan returned. The Swarm will not end with us!

Kerrigan rolled her head to loosen up her neck. We wait until they stabilise the situation, she said. Then we rebuild... and take the island.

River had met people who danced really well and had special powers. Who could blame her?
