WHO SHE WAS THEN.

"There was a woman, young, dressed in what looked like night-camo pants, dark shirt, and a multipocketed vest. She had brilliant red hair that was bound in a ponytail at the nape of her neck. She looked quasi-military, though not from any unit that Mike had ever seen. Maybe some planetary militia or law-enforcement organization. Marshals, that's what the locals called the lawmen, but she didn't look like one.

The woman gave Mike a piercing stare, and he was positive she could turn those green eyes into sharp blades. "I'm Sarah Kerrigan," she said simply, to Mike, not the lieutenant.

Lieutenant Sarah Kerrigan - or Kerrigan, as she prefers to be called - is a Ghost.

No, you're not seeing dead people. A Ghost is a specialised stealth agent, hand-selected from the universe's most powerful Terran telepaths to serve the Terran Confederacy. The Confederacy is very adamant that its Ghosts behave entirely according to regulations; in other words, that they do not become A Problem.

Kerrigan was A Problem. They tried to break her. They failed.

She killed for them, but she wasn't lost to them - and when Arcturus Mengsk saved her from the Confederacy, she swore her allegiance to the paramilitary Sons of Korhal, a group of interstellar guerilla fighters battling against the Confederacy. Sent on a mission through an abandoned Warp Gate, she now finds herself trapped in Fandom, gathering what information she can. She teaches Tactics. Just until she can go home again.

She's patient enough.

POWERS

When going into battle, Kerrigan wears her Ghost suit, which enables her to cloak (become invisible to the naked eye as well as most scanners) as well as use her telekinetic powers to greatly enhance her durability, stamina, and speed. It also comes equipped with lockdown ammo which can take down tanks as well as a whole host of technological units.

Kerrigan is a telepath and a telekinetic (although both these talents were severly damaged by Confederate training exercises intended to keep unruly Ghosts in check). There will be a post up for any questions/'don't poke in my brain, y0' remarks.

CANON

Fandom's Kerrigan was taken from canon a few weeks before the Battle of New Gettysburg. She left Fandom to go through these events, returning to the island grossly changed, her entire cellular structure altered by the monstrous Zerg. She kept it together for a while, until falling prey to the Zerg hive mind.

She has since rejoined her canon, with moonbrain_tam at her side.

Green skin, tentacles, and bone body armor: Sarah Kerrigan, the Queen of Blades, is a gastly appearance in her own right. The Zerg Overmind, looking to preserve her unique qualities even after her transformation into a Zerg-Human hybrid, has granted her both her independent spirit and her name.

This is more of a privilege than most of the Zerg are granted. She stands on almost the same level as the powerful Zerg Cerebrates, the Overmind's lieutenants, but her mobile nature makes her a unique creature. She has taken the young telepath River Tam away from Fandom, and transformed her into a creature not unlike herself. River is her lieutenant-- even if she does still swear allegiance to the Overmind.

POWERS:

Kerrigan is a lean, mean fighting machine. She has strong bone bodyarmor she can retract at will, sharp tentacles for hair, and retractable knives and claws hidden about her form, ready to come out if needed. Most striking are the giant bone-wings, which might not take her flying, but which seem to operate almost with their own mind in battle.

Beyond that, her previously considerable psychic skills have quadrupled in power. With the last of her artificial restrictions now removed, she can control other creatures with her mind, or put them to death with a powerful telekinetic storm.

In other words, you probably don't want to meet her in a dark alley unless you can really pack a punch...
