25 Unicorn Street, Friday Evening

So.

She had some food in the fridge. And drinks. Non-alcoholic drinks.

So.

She had a couch. And a record player. And--

A birthday party, apparently. Maybe. She wasn't sure.

[ open for some particular people, but hell, anyone who has any reason to be there ]

"I'm so sad I missed her class this time around," Lee said, frowning. "I miss taunting her on a weekly basis."

"Don't teachers have weekly office hours?" Roy pondered.

"No telling what we can do in the end," she shrugged, leaning lightly on the counter. Cabinets were opened; a glass was found.

A green one. Best to stick with the theme.

"Flying's better," Kerrigan agreed, easily, "Even if I was never a star. I actually tried to get the class in some Wraiths the other day."

"There is always dancing, in the end." River offered Kerrigan a piece of cake on a plate. "Happy birthday."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
"Lighten up," she snorted, shooting him another grin. "It's a party. I'll save it for the next time you go out and touch deadly aliens with time travel capabilities."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Kerrigan took the plate with some care, balancing it in the palm of her hand for a moment before setting it down; first, she had to pour River a glass. The changeover was a little awkward.

Eventually, though, River had a green glass of neon green fizz, and she had a cake she was... very... carefully tackling with a fork.

A regular fork. She didn't really have any cake forks. "Thanks," she said.

[identity profile] moonbrain-tam.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
River took the glass. "I will dance later," she said.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 08:10 pm (UTC)(link)
"There's two people in the living room who are probably happy about that," Kerrigan grinned.

And then-- finally-- tried the cake. "...It's not bad," she said, a little surprised. "...I like it."

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Roy smirked. "It's not a party until there's dancing."

[identity profile] moonbrain-tam.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
And then River gave her a wide grin and wrapped an arm around her neck and hugged her, balancing glasses and plates.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"Oof."

She probably didn't mean to say that out loud. But she hugged back as best as she could, what with plates and glasses and all. "Go bring cake," Kerrigan grinned.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
"I've danced with you once. I'm not doing it again." She eyed him. "And you're not asking Adama."

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
He raised an eyebrow. "River wouldn't mind."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
That was-- one thing she didn't really have an argument against. Still-- "No." Kerrigan waved a finger in his face.

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
He laughed. "Why not?"

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 08:38 pm (UTC)(link)
"I don't dance."

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 08:41 pm (UTC)(link)
"Hence why I could dance with River," he pointed out.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 08:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"Fine," she said, leaning back. "Go dance with River. She'll love it."

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 08:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Roy sighed. "You're not even going to pretend you're disappointed?"

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
The sides of her mouth curled up. A little. "Have fun, Roy."

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
"You're supposed to have fun too," he pointed out, tilting his head

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 08:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"You guys are here. I'm having a ball." Her mouth quirked a little further. "Thanks for taking my call from Mexico."

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm just glad it saved you from killing anyone," he murmured, teasing but she knew she was welcome.

"You do have some skills," she allowed; the smile ran a little more genuinely, this time.
