25 Unicorn Street, Friday Evening

So.

She had some food in the fridge. And drinks. Non-alcoholic drinks.

So.

She had a couch. And a record player. And--

A birthday party, apparently. Maybe. She wasn't sure.

[ open for some particular people, but hell, anyone who has any reason to be there ]

Lee hadn't been to any birthday parties in years as he and his brother had grown out of those fairly quickly.

And it was just weird to be going to Lieutenant Kerrigan's house for said birthday party. Still, he was here.

Sans party hat.

It wasn't because Kerrigan was only offering non-alcoholic drinks that Roy couldn't bring her a present that was suspiciously shaped like a bottle. Possibly a whiskey bottle too. Somehow he had the feeling it might be appreciated and knocked on the door.

River had forced Gunther to let her use the kitchen at the Arms Hotel for baking the cake. The result was most impressive, or so she thought. She showed up at Kerrigan's, knocking loudly and singing to herself, carrying a large box as well as a small wrapped present.

Cake!

River carried the cake into the living room, balancing it on one hand and holding her glass in the other. The cake was covered in green coloured whipped cream and decorated with small green peas in a complex and neat pattern. Underneath the surface there were caramel sauce and verious other ingredients.

River beamed at the others, even at Lee. "We should sing. It's a birthday party."
