25 Unicorn Street, Friday Evening

So.

She had some food in the fridge. And drinks. Non-alcoholic drinks.

So.

She had a couch. And a record player. And--

A birthday party, apparently. Maybe. She wasn't sure.

[ open for some particular people, but hell, anyone who has any reason to be there ]

"You have one?" River asked with a chuckle. She handed Kerrigan a small present wrapped in aluminium foil. It contained a snow globe with a spaceship in it.

"I've got drinks in all colors of the neon rainbow," she smirked, taking the present with all due care--

And opened it. "...Huh."

"Wouldn't mind a green one," River said with a laugh, then nodded at the present. "Won't fly."

The globe looked... nice... on the counter. Kerrigan considered it for an instant-- she yanked open the fridge in one jerk of a movement, popping out the green bottle on the next move. "Maybe if we work on it."

River began to cut the cake. "I would be impressed."

"No telling what we can do in the end," she shrugged, leaning lightly on the counter. Cabinets were opened; a glass was found.

A green one. Best to stick with the theme.

"There is always dancing, in the end." River offered Kerrigan a piece of cake on a plate. "Happy birthday."

Kerrigan took the plate with some care, balancing it in the palm of her hand for a moment before setting it down; first, she had to pour River a glass. The changeover was a little awkward.

Eventually, though, River had a green glass of neon green fizz, and she had a cake she was... very... carefully tackling with a fork.

A regular fork. She didn't really have any cake forks. "Thanks," she said.

River took the glass. "I will dance later," she said.

"There's two people in the living room who are probably happy about that," Kerrigan grinned.

And then-- finally-- tried the cake. "...It's not bad," she said, a little surprised. "...I like it."

And then River gave her a wide grin and wrapped an arm around her neck and hugged her, balancing glasses and plates.

"Oof."

She probably didn't mean to say that out loud. But she hugged back as best as she could, what with plates and glasses and all. "Go bring cake," Kerrigan grinned.
