25 Unicorn Street, Friday Evening

So.

She had some food in the fridge. And drinks. Non-alcoholic drinks.

So.

She had a couch. And a record player. And--

A birthday party, apparently. Maybe. She wasn't sure.

[ open for some particular people, but hell, anyone who has any reason to be there ]

"I was safe," he repeated. "That's not a weird definition. It's true!"

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 03:23 pm (UTC)(link)
"You were in a desert." And filled her own glass. Lee could get his own.

Which was sitting right there, anyway, but it was the thought that counted. "That's not safe, that's dehydration."

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 03:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"We had water," he countered, pouring his own glass. "We had lots of water and the camels were safe and there was a teacher with us."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
"Which one?" She leaned against the counter.

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 03:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"Dr. Mizrahi, I think," Lee said, frowning. "Yeah, that was her. I don't know what she teaches but she was nice enough."

Kerrigan made a noise somewhere in that grumbling area. She sipped her very blue-- okay. Heavily caffeinated. "Next time, go somewhere safer."

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 03:37 pm (UTC)(link)
"I wasn't stupid, I promise," he said. "I helped and I met a hermit and he gave us information. And I helped."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 03:39 pm (UTC)(link)
"I know."

In more ways than he was probably aware of. Sometimes it was hard to stay angry with the constant buzzing in her head. "Guess what. I helped, too." She sounded more amused than anything else.

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 03:41 pm (UTC)(link)
"Where'd you go?" Lee asked curiously. "Who'd you beat up?"

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 03:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"Dean Jones' London." Another sip of her insanely fizzy drink. "A couple of people." She grinned.

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 03:45 pm (UTC)(link)
"Beat them up good?" Lee asked, grinning back. "Are they still walking?"

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 03:47 pm (UTC)(link)
"They weren't after I was through with them," she said, with a smirk-- "But Dean Jones said no casualties."

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 03:48 pm (UTC)(link)
"Nice job," Lee said and meant it. "How was London? I don't know where that is."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"Me neither," she admitted, "It was a little lo-tech."

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 03:54 pm (UTC)(link)
"Africa was sandy," he told her. "Sandy and hot and the sun was huge."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 03:56 pm (UTC)(link)
"London was mostly cold and wet," Kerrigan returned, "Lot of back alleys. Kind of reminded me of what Korhal must've been like."

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
"Is it not like that now?" Lee wondered.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 04:04 pm (UTC)(link)
"They bombed it to the ground, so I'm figuring not," she said, dryly.

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
"Sorry," Lee said sheepishly. "Didn't know. Caprica's a lot like Africa except there's more...people, I guess. Buildings and schools. It's not spread out."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 04:09 pm (UTC)(link)
"Africa doesn't read like it's got a lot of cities to begin with," Kerrigan replied, sipping her drink thoughtfully.

In as much as one could look thoughtful while drinking something neon blue. "Caprica sounds more like Tarsonis."

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 04:11 pm (UTC)(link)
"Yeah?" Lee took a sip of his own drink. "Have you ever been to Tarsonis?"

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
She hesitated. "...During Christmas break." Or whatever the hell that holiday was called.

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 04:21 pm (UTC)(link)
"Not a good break?" Lee asked, noticing the hesitation.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 04:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"I--" Kerrigan shot him a look. "Don't drink too much of that. You'll get a sugar rush and then who has to scrape you off the ceiling?"

[identity profile] stupid-toasters.livejournal.com 2008-03-21 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
"I don't get sugar rushes," he said, glancing at her. "Nice avoidance tactic."
