25 Unicorn Street, Sunday All Day

She'd been staring impassively at her transmitter all day. It had been dead since Jimmy's last communique, like she'd been forgotten. Weeks and weeks and weeks, and all Kerrigan had gotten was-- what, again?

Being forgotten.

The rage hadn't gone away yet: with every visit, she put on a smile, lifted her arm like a human being, gave honest answers and blinked just often enough for anyone to take her for human.

She was starting to want to scream, but that would probably break a wall. And so Sarah Kerrigan sat, just sat, perched on the floor, her wings open and her eyes set on the transmitter.

[ open to any visitors, whee ]

"It also makes it easy to send you into a retreat," she remarked, considering him.

"Well, if you really want an ice cream fight..." he raised an eyebrow at her.

"Driving you into one would be good tactics," she observed, "I'd beat you."

"Ha! We'll see," Roy said with the maturity of a twelve year old, promptly following up the statement by trying to use his spoon to launch some ice cream at Kerrigan. He'd help clean up later.

As if it possessed its own mind, one of Kerrigan's wings shot out and quickly deflected the ice cream. It smacked into the wall beside her, sliding slowly downwards--

--and she was already moving, tossing the whole container at Roy's head.

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Roy's eye widened as he ducked, using his arm to try to shield himself not so successfully. "Wings don't count! That's cheating!"

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 06:42 pm (UTC)(link)
"I did warn you," she said, wryly, tilting the container back towards herself.

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
"You were supposed to get sticky," Roy complained as he wiped some of the ice cream from his hair. He wasn't whining, really.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 06:55 pm (UTC)(link)
"I wasn't supposed to do anything," she said, frankly, "And I warned you. No sympathy."

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Roy laughed and flicked some of the ice cream at her. "Cruel."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
"And justly deserved." She swiped the ice cream off her cheek with her tongue.

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Roy smirked. "I suppose that depends on where from you're looking at it," he commented. He made a face. "Ugh. Sticky."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 07:11 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm looking at it from here," she said, dryly, "And it looks deserved."

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 07:12 pm (UTC)(link)
"You're prejudiced," Roy informed her, putting his tub on the armrest of the couch as he got up.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm only prejudiced because you're being a moron."

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Roy shivered as some of the ice cream trickled down his neck and he headed into the kitchen to clean up. "That's nothing new."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
She shot a look at his retreating back. "So that should tell you something," she said, calmly.

As soon as he was remotely out of sight, her gaze caught on the transmitter again.

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Roy grabbed some papertowels to clean up the worst, but it really wasn't going to be enough. He was going to need water and this was going to ruin his haircut for the rest of the day.

"I'm wilfully ignorant," he called back to Kerrigan before turning the tap and sticking his head under.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
"Sure," Kerrigan answered, distractedly. The buzzing in her mind was picking up; the more she looked, the more the rage uncoiled in her stomach, burning cold in her veins.

She shivered.

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 07:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Roy returned after a moment, his hair sticking to his forehead. "Everything alright?" he asked quietly.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)
She wasn't moving. "Jimmy hasn't called in a couple of weeks," Kerrigan said, "It's no big."

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 07:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Roy returned to his spot on the couch. "Where was he last?" he asked as he picked up his tub again. He wasn't much in the mood for ice cream anymore now that he'd had it over his head.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
"...Last month," she said, and her tone was devoid of feeling one way or the other. "Something like that. Since then-- nothing."

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2008-07-13 07:45 pm (UTC)(link)
"He didn't say what he was doing?" he asked, watching her carefully. "Is there a chance he's too far away to be able to contact you?"

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2008-07-14 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
"He managed to contact me last time," Kerrigan said, and her head tilted at Roy for a long, steady look. "And no, he didn't."
