The problem with seguing into class after a mildly worldview-upsetting adventure back home was that after two weeks, Kerrigan still didn't actually have a decent syllabus set up.

So she was in her office, making ridiculous amounts of coffee as she tried to figure things out.

Since he wasn't in her class and he would just miss her bunches, Lee decided to just stop by the Lieutenant's office when he could.

Which is what he was doing right now by leaning in the door way and grinning. "Morning!"

"Adama," Kerrigan groaned, hunched over her coffee. "To what do I owe the pleasure? And how do I undo it?"

"I'm not allowed to visit?" Lee asked, stepping inside. "Just to visit? No reason, just visiting. Are you awake?"

"Yes," Kerrigan snapped, "I'm awake, no," she growled, "You never just visit."

"Someone's touchy today," Lee observed with a frown. "Get up on the wrong side of the bed?"

"I'm fine," she said, chugging back coffee. Ow. Hot. Not going to show it. "I have a syllabus to write."

"Oooh, what kind of fun stuff are you crazy kids gonna get into this semester?" Lee asked, peeking over at her desk.

"Nothing that's any of your concern, Adama," she told him, pulling her papers back towards her. "Seeing as you're not in the class."

"A ha," Lee said, smirking a little. "Must be something good. Are you upset I'm not in the class?"

He figured no but it was fun to tease.

"I'm sure I can find a replacement pain in the ass in no time flat," she snorted, leaning back.

"Aw, but no one can replace me," he said, smiling smugly now. "You know that. I'm one of a kind. A special kind of pain in the ass."

"Shut up." She glared at him. For old time's sake. "You're just one in a long line of jackasses, kid."

"You're way with words makes me swoon," Lee said dryly, rolling his eyes. "Admit it, you'll miss me. A little."

"Yes," Kerrigan said, rolling her eyes in counterpoint, "I'm going to miss the guy who left his daddy issues all over my classroom and tried to cover my office in glitter." She really was.

"I've still got my daddy issues," he said, making a face at the words, "and lots of glitter left. Just because I'm not in your class doesn't mean you won't see those. Sweet of you to remember so much about me, though."

"Do you have any reason for being here that doesn't involve sating your ego, Adama?" she asked, leaning her face on one hand.

"Visiting," he said like it was obvious. "I missed you."

And he actually had even if he said it a wee bit sarcastically.

"That's heartwarming," she snorted, with a wry smirk. "Really, it is. Maybe you should TA for me next time." So she'd have an excuse to have him shot at more often, of course.

"Next time, I will," he said, nodding. "I was a pretty good TA for Ares. Ran th class twice!"

"Yeah," Kerrigan said, smirking bigger, "I remember."

Because that had been hilarious.

"Hey, I didn't do that badly and I didn't have to take off my shirt," he said because that was an accomplishment in that class.

"Didn't you end up giving an inspiring lecture on underwear?"

"You found it inspiring?" Hey, he knew sarcasm, he just couldn't help but tease. "If it inspired one person than my job is done."

Kerrigan rolled her eyes. Again. "You just wait until the next teacher with an unhealthy fascination with your arms comes around, Adama."

"You don't like my arms, Lieutenant?" Lee asked, crossing said arms in front of him.
