Kerrigan was slumped back in her chair and surfing the net idly. Today had all the hallmarks of being horribly boring, and she was kind of starting to wonder how much longer she was going to be okay with 'horribly boring'.

In other words, she was this close to even welcoming Adama on her doorstep.
