25 Unicorn Street, Tuesday Evening

Her fridge had been stocked up well enough, but Kerrigan had still found herself chowing back noodles more often than not over the past few days. Cooking just wasn't her strong suit, and she lacked the inclination to learn.

Christmas Eve had passed by unnoticed.

She was in the living room, running system checks on her armor and fiddling with the wires.

[ open to anyone who'd come bug kerrigan on christmas day; early due to sp later yay ]

It had nothing to do with the holiday that Roy showed up at Kerrigan's door. Really. It was coincidence. As was the brown paper bag.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 04:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Which was why the first words out of Kerrigan's mouth upon opening the door were, "You're not fooling anyone."

"Sure I am," he said, eyeing her. "Don't make me turn around and eat this alone."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
"If you're going to eat that alone, you might as well come in from the cold," she snorted, stepping aside.

"I'm not going to eat that alone," he argued as he stepped inside the hall.

Kerrigan closed the door behind him. "Sure you're not."

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 04:22 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'm glad we didn't have to waste time arguing about it," he smirked as he held out the bag. "I wasn't sure if you celebrate this holiday."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
"I was being sarcastic," she replied. And then took the bag anyway. "'Celebrate' is a big word, but yeah, we do Christmas."

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
"I was willfully ignoring that you were," he said with a grin.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 04:28 pm (UTC)(link)
"I know." Hey, she really did. She shot him a look before marching off into the living room. "Is this your first go at the holiday, Sheriff?"

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 04:31 pm (UTC)(link)
"Mmmmm," he followed her into the living room. "We don't have this particular religion in my world."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 04:33 pm (UTC)(link)
"So I gather," she said, flopping backwards onto the couch. "Any religions at all?"

[identity profile] light-a-spark.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
"A few," he nodded, sitting down beside her on the couch. "It's hard to believe in god when you have alchemy."

River knocked on the door. Under her arm she carried a present wrapped in alumninium foil. It was homemade, and she hoped Kerrigan would appreciate the effort.

The door opened quickly, revealing a faintly smiling Kerrigan. "Hey, River," she said, nodding at the hallway, "Merry Christmas. Come in."

[identity profile] moonbrain-tam.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
"Merry Christmas!" River placed the present in Kerrigan's hands, then walked past her inot the hall. "You promised food."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 06:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Kerrigan nudged her fingers under the aluminium, peeling it away. She already knew what it was, of course, but it made her smile anyway.

And pull the hat over her head, mild silliness be damned. "I have some in the fridge," she said, "...Haven't cooked yet." Mostly because that might be lethal.

[identity profile] moonbrain-tam.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Looking at Kerrigan, River grinned. "Suits you. Can assist with cooking." That might not make it safer.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Kerrigan nodded, walking into the kitchen, where she pulled a box off the counter. "Uh, it's second hand..." she said, a little embarrassed, before offering it to River. "But it works."

[identity profile] moonbrain-tam.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Second hand certainly didn't matter to River. It made coffee, and it was a present from Kerrigan. She held the coffee maker close. "Useful," she said, taking a seat on a chair.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 06:46 pm (UTC)(link)
"I'd hope so," Kerrigan smiled back at her, pulling open the fridge. She glanced at the contents. "...Okay," she said. "Go wild."

[identity profile] moonbrain-tam.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
River tilted her head, looking at Kerrigan. "You start," she said.

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
"Um..." She took some cheese out of the fridge, offering it to River.

[identity profile] moonbrain-tam.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
"Good start." River rose from her chair and peered into the fridge, picking a jar of mustard. She placed that and the cheese on the worktop, then looked at Kerrigan. "Next."

[identity profile] on-her-korhal.livejournal.com 2007-12-25 08:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Kerrigan had to bow down a little to get to the part of the fridge she was angling for. "...Bacon?"
