Kerrigan had now progressed from banging her head against her syllabus to studying it thoroughly and wondering if maybe she could find a place to involve driver's ed. Hypothetically.

And maybe a Vulture bike. She missed driving Vultures.

"So how have you been?" Kerrigan asked, conversationally. And nearly winced. Yeah, that didn't sound awkward at all.

River smiled a little. "I have been as usual," she said, taking another sip.

"Think I'm going to talk to your Bob tomorrow," Kerrigan said, with a wry smirk.

River's smiled widened. "Good." She was sure Bob wasn't going to appreciate that. "Perhaps mention a blonde wig."

River nodded, giving no explanation, although she might not completely keep the thought of Lola out of her mind. She sipped her coffee.
