25 Unicorn Street, Monday Evening

Tap tap tap.
There hadn't been lights on anywhere but in the kitchen at 25 Unicorn Street ever since Sarah Kerrigan had made her home there. In fact, most of the lights in the living room had been dismantled, components used or discarded. Some blue LEDs glowed up in the shadows, but that was about it.
Tap tap tap.
The basic infrastructure of the house was finished. The alarms were in place. Communications would take a while, but all the basic sensors had been set up and running. One of three bedrooms was now locked off from sight and access by anyone but Kerrigan - it was full of enough technology to make for a minor command centre.
Tap tap tap.
Thusly went Sarah's metal-booted feet against the floor. All wrapped up in her old Ghost armor, her back against the wall, she finally let herself enjoy at least a little of this. The quiet, the strange, soothing quiet she hadn't felt for a long time - the darkness, which appealed to the part of her that lived through the Confed Ghost training, the Ghost in her. Blue light calming on her face, shadows wrapped around, memories at bay...
The house complete and empty, a Velvet Underground record playing in the background, she was content just to be, tonight.
"Oh, and I guess that I just don't know..." she sang, her voice ringing quietly in the darkness.
[ mostly just establishy for end of home improvement yay!, but these things are always open if you want to play bother the soldierchick ]
