Another day at the office.

Kerrigan tapped the code in with a sigh, pulled the door open, and went inside. She slammed it shut behind her, leaning against the surface for a few precious seconds before moving into the kitchen to get something to drink.

She should probably get to work on her suit's maintenance program.

Sarah flopped down on the couch and stayed there.

"Ow," he complained, falling a little bit to the other side on purpose. "No abusing your Sheriff."

"Why not?" She snorted at the antics, "He makes it easy and justifiable."

"It's never justifiable to hit a Sheriff. We're of the most noble kind," he deadpanned.

"Maybe if you were a Marshal," she deadpanned back.

Roy frowned. "What does a Marshal have that a Sheriff doesn't?" he wanted to know.

"A certain kind of country graces."

He was still frowning as he considered it. "I don't need that," he finally decided.

"Also the uniform's better," she continued, smirking into her glass.

He paused and narrowed his eyes. "I wouldn't know what a Sheriff's uniform looks like," he told her.

"It'd be nicer," she smirked at him.

"You're delusional," he informed her, finally shifting so he could refill his glass.

"Believe what you want," she snickered, draining the last sip out of her glass.

"Don't I always?" he smirked and poured out the glass and then held the bottle out to her.

"That you do," she countered, dryly, and took the bottle by the neck before pouring. Of all the things she'd been taught, decorum wasn't one of them.

He needed to get more whiskey. And a raise. "I believe it's one of my strong points," he told her.

"You would," she snorted, finishing her pour before slamming the bottle back on the table. "Cheers," Kerrigan said, before taking a sip.

"To strong points," he smirked and took a healthy drink himself before he sagged back against the couch. He could be lazy right now.

She shook her head with some amusement. "You need a break."

"From the paperwork? I agree. Want to finish it off for me?" he asked hopefully.

"From strong points," she replied, dryly.

"No no, definitely the paperwork," he argued, purposely misunderstanding.

Kerrigan rolled her eyes. "Pig," she just said, and sipped her drink.

"I'm going to get immune to that, you know," he warned her. Possibly too late.

"I'll just think of something else," she said. "I don't think I've used 'jackass' yet."

"Ouch," he mumbled into his glass. "Now that would just be mean."
