Kerrigan had given up on her syllabus.

Well, okay, she hadn't given up, because she was a dogged sort of person, but it had finally found its way to a pile. It was just being worked at from a distance.

She made herself some noodles and spent a goodly period of time staring at it.

"Hey, I make good coffee," he said, holding up a hand. "I made it for my mother all the time while my dad was gone. Be nice to me."

"I haven't thrown it at you yet," Kerrigan replied, dryly, then went back to sipping from her cup, "Be pleased."

"I am," he said geniunely. "Well, more than I was when I came in here."

"More students should appreciate the joy of a good cup of coffee." She smiled slightly at him.

"Wasn't the coffee," he said very quietly. "Anyway."

Time to clear his throat and pretend he didn't just admit that.

"I know."

She wasn't going to thank Lee out loud, but her mind was spinning on a few things.

Then again, it'd been doing that for a while. "Now I think you're late for your twelve 'o' clock bugging appointment with someone else."

"Yeah." A smile reappeared on his face and he gave a small, lazy salute. "See you later, Lieutenant."

With that, he turned on his heel and left the office.
